Adenocarcinoma

Reread the last line of my previous post before you read any further....

okay...

My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer this past week. It's a total mystery as to how she got it, but she is in Stage IV and we are gearing up for a good fight ahead of us. If you want to follow my journey with her through this you can read

momandherjourney.blogspot.com

We are fasting for her tomorrow: May 3rd.

She has a positive attitude and of course a million people who love and support her. Her quote of the weekend was..."everything that could go right is going right, except for the part that is going wrong!"

Thanks for all your prayers.

Val,
Wow! Not great news but amazing faith and attitude. I admire you and your Mom. May the fight be VALIANT. We can relate as Thom's mom's breast cancer progressed to lung cancer. That ws a rough deal. We'll pray for you. Loving your family!

Val, I'm not sure what to write. I'm shocked. I'm sad. But, I'm praying that this battle will be won quickly and absolutely.

I remember John telling me after Natalie's funeral that there had been tender mercies from the Lord throughout that week. I know he will give those to you and your mom for this journey too. I love you all.

Val, I just heard the news last night from my mom and shocked was my reaction too. My initial response in these situations (after the shock) is to be thankful for the gospel (as your post about Natalie reaffirms) and its message of hope and the eternal nature of families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you take this challenge one day at a time. Love to you all, Shelby

Val, Like everyone else that has written, we are having a hard time expressing our feelings regarding the news of your Mom's diagnosis. Life is so fragile and yet we take it for granted until something like this happens to someone we know and love. Ours will be among the hundreds of prayers being offered every day for your family and especially your mom. We love you all so much.

Not that you haven't been through enough?!!!! Wow! I can't believe this is the news today. I want you to know how strong and amazing you are being through all of this for your mom! You have been so great to help her through this and take her to her appointments. Thank you for being such a great daughter to her. We are all praying for all of you to get through this and see a victory on the other end of this. Let me know if I can help anymore with your girls. I would be happy to help.

Hi. I tried to leave a comment on the blog for your mom. Something wouldn't let me. Just wanted to leave her a message and let her know that she is in our prayers everyday. Nate said in his prayer "please bless moms Jill". We love her and know she can beat this! Please let me know what I can do to help. I can tend your girls whenever you need to be with her. My number is 6687184. Rachelle Christian
